Zee, this guy reminds me of that ad about bankers

only wanting big banks and then at the end the banker is having his shrimp coctail and going, "I'want a loan, I want a loan" This thread just cracked me up and your response is right on! Wink

First read message 33325

Jay, I doubt very much if you get the help you've been seeking from your last three posts. The reason being, that none of us have any business to spare. Oh, you say, how am I competition to you, I'm in NE and you're in MI, but if I post my suggestions to you not only you will read them, but also the notary that lives down the street from me and zip there goes one of my advantages.

I would suggest that you read and re-read message 33325. A lot of questions will be answered there. If you are just starting out, I would suggest that you think and re-think this whole business over before parting with any (more) of your hard earned $$$. This is the worst time of all to try and break into this business. Even those of us with a long list of contacts and years of experience are rethinking our positions.

Also

go back to the first posting on this board and start reading. At that point there was more than enough business to go around and people were much more willing to share. The information is there if you dig.

Re: Help Wanted...I am new at making doughnuts, can anyone

offer me some tips on getting new business (in other words, I'm too lazy to do it myself)? I would also like to expand my doughnut business (again, I'm too lazy to do it myself, or have the mentality that it will be GIVEN unto me). I would like to hear some advice from some of you pros (tell me who you work for, give me their names and let me undercut you)

Do you realize how ignorant (wanted to use another word, but I'm being kind) you sound?

Stop begging and start marketing.

You have a brain, now use it.

The saddest part of this is

The great majority of these people expecting someone to give them work, don't have the skill sets to complete it correctly. The same laziness that keeps them from doing the marketing, will keep them from actually learning how to complete the work. Most people coming from private employment have neither the initiative to survive or thrive:-(

You bought into the Signing Agent hype didn't you. Well first of all the entire population of NE is less than 2 million. 1.3 million less than San Diego county where I live. You need numbers to make this business work. Last time I checked there wasn't a land rush to NE either. So I suggest you run a yellow page ad to get noticed and cross your fingers.

Study Robert Kiyosaki "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and other books

like it. Get the entrepreneur mindset and you will find your OWN methods to succeed...and wont need to beg others. JMHO

Big Difference

between being an employee and being an entrepreneur. The NSA's that will last in this business (or at least last the longest) are those that treat this as a profession and a business. The one's who drop out the quickest are those that treat it as a "job" or a hobby or something to do to earn some extra money. If you're not willing to work 24/16 (see I gave you 8 hours sleep time a day) at this business it will never get off the ground, even if someone were willing to give you a complete written out business plan!

Re: Big Difference

Dorothy, thank you for #33325. I read this about 2 months ago and refer to it often. I have also practiced what you have preached. Yesterday my marketing efforts paid off, with an offer to contract with a mortgage company three miles from my home. My homework today is to research and try to develop the contract. Thank you again!
