If everyone had a magic list ...

...you'd have a magic lead generator.

It's really simple. I just got a call from a reverse mortgage loan officer. This lady is so funny...first time I have talked to her...she's a client of one of our network members.

"Hey Brenda, I have a copy of your magic list. We love to use it so we don't wind up with a crappy signing service el cheapo bargain basement notary! We just tell the title company to hook up with your magic list people."

[She said it, I didn't! She's used a
Dallas area SS before and choked
when sputtering her name.]

She goes on: "Thank goodness for your list. I love Dorothy -- she's my favorite....and, um, that Pickel gal--she's awesome too...blah, blah, blah..."

----------------------
Really and truly...link your self with ten other good notaries and you've got a network. Make a list of your members and pass it out constantly.

and you have inspired and guided the Florida NSA Network throughout the process, Brenda.

I've started the NC Notary Network

and have a few people that want to be on the list. My question to you Brenda, is how did you find out if these other notaries across your state were good notaries or not?

I've got the domain, and the hosting ready, but I haven't started working on the site because I'm not sure how to proceed. I know a couple people personally, but not all of them.

I give preference to those who post or NotRot premier member, but on top of all I don't hesitate calling anyone belonging to a network first.

Please email me your current or updated list.

**My question to you Brenda, is how did you find out if these other notaries across your state were good notaries or not?
**

Talk to them on the phone. Let them talk about their business and what I have found is that you can learn a lot from just asking them things like:

So, what's the biggest part of your loan business--what types of loans do you see the most of?

How do you feel about no signs?

I am thinking about getting another printer. Do you like your printer? What kind do you have?

How about rev morts? Do you see many of those? I get most of mine through Aaoweiroe Title Company...is that where yours come from?

----

In five minutes you can figure out what kind of person you are talking to.

It's time consuming, but worth it. If they post here on NR, that helps a lot.

Not literally, but you will spend a lot of time on the phone. Do you need anything from us. We do some things slight different from the TX network, but we've all got to do what works best for us. Also, as people come into the network, ask them if they know anyone else.

I've found a lot of our people right here on NotRot. You can tell a lot by the amount of postings and what they say in the postings.

How do you pay for the domain names & webhosting? Do you charge members a small membership fee? Or do you ask them to donate? How many people in the network maintain the sites?

Re: more network questions-NCLisa

First a great big thank you to Brenda and the other networks that helped us to build a foundation for ours, you were an inspiration and the help couldnt of been better. While our network is still just a baby, Im really liking it and getting a charge out of helping it to grow. I like being a part of this.
Now for your question Lisa, we did a website through Microsoft and it has served the purpose we need. It was free to get it going, which reminds me I have to do some investigating, but not quite sure if its free forever. But you might want to check out that option.
And just a note, get your network set up in a group forum somewhere like Yahoo Groups or Google Groups.
When you get alot of members the emails start flying and it can get to be alot. Its worth it, believe me.
I like your first Network name also.

Yes I can back up what I'm saying. I am now doing fewer signings and making more than double what I made before becoming part of the network. I am working for Title company's and lenders directly instead of SS. Although I do still work for some SS that will meet my fee.

Re: The Florida NSA Network Mission Statement

We can thank Becca for the expertly written mission statement.
Good job, Becca!
At this point, we are allowing about 1 NSA per county.
I have 2 primary counties, as I am on the Charlotte/Sarasota borderline.
I am also servicing 3 secondary counties: Desoto, Lee and Manatee.

Right now that is keeping Sugars in Cat Chow, but should it get to the point where we
are having more closings per county than a network member can personally handle, we will
add a new member to assist with that particuar area.

Right now we have 17 members with few uncovered areas. They are mostly rural areas that we are looking for coverage in. A member should be residing or have their office located in those particular counties.

Trolls can be existing members of a community that rarely post and often contribute no useful information to the thread, but instead make argumentative posts in an attempt to discredit another person, more often than not based on what they thought was said rather than what was actually said by the other person, concentrating almost exclusively on facts irrelevant to the point of the conversation, with the intent of provoking a reaction from others.
