MARYLAND NSA'S

Are you all getting refunds for your fidelity bonds. Chesepeake is giving refunds.

I have heard from a few that Chesapeak gave them a full refund. My question now is, there is one underwriter (United General) that says that if we do not have the fidelity bond, we cannot do closings for them. So what do we do about that?

I got a refund this weekend and didn't ask for it with a letter from my insurance company stating and I quote, "The MD. Ins. Administration has determined that it is no longer necessary for independent contractors to obtain fidelity insurance."
