NREIS called me today...

In 2005, I did dozens of closings for them. Then suddenly, they went cheap on me. "Can't pay more than $65 for eDocs..." I passed, and gave them my competitors phone number... the one-time friend that undercut all my fees. I am sure they've kept her busy

Today they called. First time I'd heard from them in months. While they still didn't meet my base fee for a closing on Marco Island, they DID offer me $125 out of the gate.
Hmmm... are they rethinking their position? Have most of the low-ball Notaries they were using suddenly dropped off the radar?
What gives?

Don't know, but I've been getting better offers from some of the low-ballers just lately, too. I'm thinking that 'tax time' was a reality check for the notaries that accepted these low fees and they finally realize they worked way too cheaply.
