So you're from MD. Appears to be a new name on NR...are you new? Are they paying you more than $100 for the edoc assignment? Do you have your title producer license? You should be charging AT LEAST $125 for all e-doc assignments around here. I hope you're not undercutting others....as you know it costs a boat-load to enter/stay in the business in MD. Good luck to you!

Ouch
I don't think it's a good idea to tell people what the minimum price should be, especially in a public forum. That gets really close to price-fixing...

That gets really close to price-fixing...I don't think so...
IMHO, I don't think anyone should walk out of the house for less than $100.00 (unless it is an O/N and you are within walking distance...), The posting didn't say that this is a 'must' for a price, it was just a suggestion. "it is my suggestion" that the prices previously "suggested" be paid attention to, but as always, it is YOUR business...YOU set YOUR prices (no one else...THAT is price fixing!).
As always, the opinions of the writer are just that....an opinion, no more, no less!
Opinions are like noses....everyone has one.....(and to conclude with the silly.....don't forget...you can PICK your Friends...you can PICK your NOSE....but YOU CAN'T PICK YOUR FRIENDS NOSE......)
"Smiles....everyone....smiles.....welcome to Fantasy Island...I'm Mr Roarke....your host!"
"Da PLANE! Da PLANE!"

What part of "You should be charging AT LEAST $125 for all e-doc assignments around here" sounds like a "suggestion"? Seems more like an imperative to me...
There's a reason people here are reluctant to discuss fee schedules. Telling someone outright what the minimum fee should be for a service is really not a good idea; in fact, it's a potential violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act. Of course, one of the benefits of living in this democratic society is that you are free to shoot yourself in the foot whenever you want to...

They are great to work with, but would offer a low fee first. Negotiate a fee that you are comfortable with. They pay on time.

N Genchikan, I am not new and I always ask for afee appropriate to the work/distance to get the job done. Great advice. Thanks to all who replied. I am glad to know that they pay promptly. The only pricefixing I see going on is when these companies undervalue our fees and the closers who will work for peanuts.
