of the most stressing jobs...

I know we all complain about the SS that won't part with but a measly allowance. I've been on that side of the desk, where I'm trying like hell to fill a position when I worked in the employment service industry. Try telling some college grad that he has to pay a 'fee' to get my job. It is no fun.
I can say without a doubt, that filling a signing assignment that I have to get covered is very stressful....then (not me because we have a few great closers) you have to worry that it gets done right the first time.
I'm sure that at the end of the day a scheduler has earned their pay, not to mention, in the capacity the employer requests/expects.
Not defending, just pointing out that we all have to earn a living. Also, again feeling that the 'networks' is a great thingy Smile

My first job when I was 19 was as a battlefield nuclear

engineer in the Army, everything from then was downhill as far as having a ton of stress. There's something about having your 19 year old finger on an armageddon weapon, that turns your hair gray at an early age. Smile

Oh yeah. I have experienced situations which were the stuff that Lifetime movies passed over as too disturbing.

On this board I work at controlling my cynicism over the clucking of the Chicken Little Syndrome victims and performances of the drama queens...but as you all know...obviously, not hard enough.

I agree that there are many schedulers out there that have developed nervous tics as a result of their job.....and I sympathize. They work hard and bear the brunt of mistakes made by newbies and even experienced signing agents. There are wonderful signing services and I have had the pleasure of working with many of them. I am currently sitting here waiting for docs to be sent for a 1pm signing.....it is after 12:00 and I know the scheduler is under the gun also.

My beef is that there are way too many signing services that pop up overnight and are under capitalized and poorly managed. These folks are trying to make the almighty dollar on the backs of the NSA's they contract for a closing. Their "business plan" of taking the funds earned on a new closing and paying a NSA that did a closing 45-60 days ago smells like the old pyramid scheme.....new money pays the top of the heap and when the money flow gets tight, the ones still on the pyramid get screwed.....pretty stinky. PS-If I could figure out how to put a smiley face on here I would but for the life of me I cannot figure it out after all this time!

No kidding, it took me a total of 23 calls to fill an order Friday afternoon.
