stipulations
I did a signing for a company. When I filled out my completion report on the website, which also generates an invoice so you can get paid, there was a very long contract that you had to read, and agree to by clicking on "I agree". If you didn't agree, your report would not be accepted, and no invoice would be generated.
Personally I don't think that's a good policy. If you hire someone to do a job, pay them upon completion (preferably beforehand nowadays). Don't tell them that they have to agree to a contract in order to get paid. Tell them that **before** you hire them so that they have the option of accepting or refusing the job.
I think a lot of people are so anxious to get paid, that they agree to the contract without actually taking the time to read it thoroughly.
Fortunately I did get paid. I sent in my own invoice, along with a letter.

Good for you, Leon....
And you are so right about this co's 'wrong' practice. Darn, can't remember which co. on my No-No list this one is. I did exactly what you said... just agreed to their contract (which was not something I would have agreed to) AND promptly put them on my No-No list due to this underhanded practice.
