swiftview tech support ... please hurry
HI everyone . I have a Konica minolta pagepro. I have an edoc closing that is using swiftview. The problem is , when I press the print botton in swiftview, the doc will spool to my printer and then nothing comes out. I don't get an error message either. It will not work using windows print function either It shows in the que, as well. I called chase tech support , they made a few adjustments, we restarted and NOTHING. I've never had this problem and I know my printer works.
Can any of my fellow Computer wizzards out there help me ? I will be eternally thankfull. A

Does your printer have PCL 6 on your printer.
In my rookie days, before I knew what PCL6 even was, that would happen to me. Now that all my printers are PCL6, I don't have any issues with Swiftview.
I don't like Swiftview all that much, but it works.

SwiftView often has "issues".
It is NOT "a great format".
PDF remains the gold standard for document interchange. That's why it's called *Portable* Document Format.

Re: SwiftView often has "issues".
Problem with PDF as a document exchange in our world is that it is not secure. Even with password protection, it is still easily hacked. But, there's an easy answer to this problem that some lenders are using and others looking into. That's using Swiftsend and eLynx as envelope carriers. The base file is a PDF file, but encapsulated into a secure envelope. Similar to "zipping" the data file. Offers secure document transfers and easy printing.

Use the SwiftView file viewer and print using the Windows driver. By default, Swiftview tries to print in RAW PCL which your printer may not be able to handle. (Printer uses the Windows GDI interface to print.)
Other alternative is to see if you can get the file(s) in PDF format.
