Attorney's lien update

Last week there was discussion of the use of the attorney's lien on a file to enforce collection from delinquent clients. As was discussed it encumbers the file and proceeds received
therefrom by each party in the chain through whose hands the file passed. Just received notification on Friday that one of the parties has agreed to pay us in order to extinguish the lien. The lien is extinguished by operation of law upon receipt of payment.
