Greenbelt Realty Services
After doing a signing for Greenbelt Realty Service based in Melville NY, it has been over a month and serveral email inquiries that I have not received my notary services payment. I recently checked notary rotary message posts and saw that this has been common in the past for several notaries. Even to the point that someone reported them to BBB. Does anyone have any suggestions at this point. I am sending email after email and getting no response. The last email stated that checks were printed and needed to be authorized and mailed......that was April 9th....one month after the signing. Just curious what you other notaries suggest at this point. Warmly, Leanne Mitchell

I have not had a problem with payment from Greenbelt. I work for them every month. On the first of each month, I fax an invoice for the previous months work and I always recieve a check about the 15th of the month.

I am also waiting for payment. They found me, and the signing was on 3/20. I'm going to re-send my invoice (this week) stating amount due is 30-60 days. We will see ...

Re: Greenbelt Realty Services - I was paid
I just wanted to update that shortly after posting my reply above, I was paid! I did not send out a 2nd invoice and all in all the payment was rcvd 46 days.
Would I accept another assignment: yes I would.
Why am I posting an update to this: another NSA called me this weekend in regards to this company asking if I ever got paid. She had accepted an assignment from them and she was wondering if she should take it or decline it. So, I wanted to let everyone know who does a search on this company, that I was paid and it wasn't a hassle, just longer wait.
All to often, we never update responses on being paid and they are left open, so I felt I should update! Cheers!

Re: Greenbelt I was paid for most, waiting on 1
I have worked for sweet Debbie multiple times. She is a nice lady & typically responsive. I do have one invoice that's been out for awhile & I'm sure it's an oversight. I hate to see a good company put down; everyone can make mistakes. I will continue to accept jobs from Debbie. I think that before a severely negative posting is made against a company all the stops should be pulled out. Call her, email her, fax her, mail her. She has never ignored me. I have 1 invoice that is pretty overdue (90 days) but this is not norm! Kudos to a fun lady to work for!

I have been an IC for Greenbelt for about a year. I have never had any problems with payment. They pay well and never have I been stiffed for a payment. Deb is awesome...... I do all I can for them.

I've worked for them, too & not had a problem. Perhaps you should re-read the instructions (can't recall off-hand if there is any special invoice procedure) & make sure you've invoiced properly. Otherwise email the scheduler regarding payment status. I've found that when you reply to the original confirmation sender (including the original order confirmation), it's easier to get paid in most cases.

Hi Leanne Mitchell - just responding to your note regarding our payment to you which was on schedule. Payment was issued to you less than a month after the one signing you performed for us. The check is #2660 and it was cashed within a months time of the signing. So I am wondering what the issue is and you can reply if you want and I can clarify for you. We do keep copies of canceled checks and can verify this info if you need us to so you can correct your records and your perception of our company : )
