Infinite Notaries-Bounced Check

Anyone else having a hard time with receiving payment from this signing co? They have already bounced one check and are over three months late in paying another. Would love to get advice from anyone willing to give it.

Never redeposit a bounced check. If you do, and the client stops payment...the police may not move on it. At least in Connecticut they will not. There is a difference between a check drawn on an account with insufficient funds and a check upon which payment has been stopped even if it is a redeposited bounced check.

If you have a bounced check request a bank check in replacement thereof. If they refuse...refer the bounced check to the police.

Bounced check = pay dirt.

I'll take Kevin at his word on redepositing it, haven't heard that here, but makes sense...

Almost every county in America has a bounced check division in their DA's office, because it's a PROFIT CENTER... they get real nasty, charge treble damages and collect, you don't get all that treble damage, they get a big piece of it, that's why they do it.

Call 'em, tell them to FedEx you a cashier's check to replace it, and the rest of what they owe you and you'll be so kind as to wait till noon tomorrow before heading over to the DA.

Hi - Yes, I had three checks bounce, however, the owner contacted me and resent checks that cleared the bank. I no longer do closings for Infinite because of slow pay and it seems most of the closings were sub-prime, i.e., there was always a problem with either the borrower(s), scheduling, docs, etc. It got to be more of a hassle than it was worth.

Re: Infinite Notaries

I have been in this line of work for about 6 years now and have kept an index card box of all the companies I run across, ie signing services, title companies, etc. I've even listed comments made regarding them for my future info. Lately I have seen a lot of the companies that had very good ratings a few years back start to have problems, and a few "bad" ones starting to "repent". Infinite Notaries, back in Feb. of 2004 had a very good rep. on NotRot "pays on time" etc. Now I suppose I have to cross off their good comments and start a list of bad ones. Like I have nothing better to do, boy, what some companies won't do to make me work. lol

Last year I posted my problems ref: Infinite Notaries.....pm's came from all over. Everyone was having problems...I finally collected (in Jan. 07) for a signing done in Sept. 06 by simply telling her what options I was prepared to take to get paid. My list is as follows:

1. Notify Texas State Commissioner for Notary Publics
2. Notify Texas State Attorney Genral's Office
3. File suit in my county and get a judgement
4. Notify the title company that I had not been paid
5. Notify the HUD field office that disbursement of funds had not taken place on that loan

I have only had 3 problems in the past year, this has worked everytime to collect from the deadbeats.
