Every time I post a discussion forum message I get a dozen or so hits on my NR profile. However a week can go by with no hits at all until I post again. IMHO A Notary locater system based on the notary's Zip Code is of no value to me anyway. Mobile notaries like me make their money on travel fees and notaries that actually live in higher volume areas for Refi's like the suburbs for example get the loan signing calls. With 100 or so members in my City, real clients (not other curious notaries reading my profile) will call me and say "I found you on NR and you are only 2 miles away." Can I just come to you? Or a signing service scheduler will want to pay less because it's in my zip code. So thank you NR for all the $10 referrals.

Joe, How wouuld you like that to change so that you won't get those $10 referrals?
When I get those calls (Texas is $6) I just say no, I am sorry...my lowest fee is $31 no matter how close I am to you...my business is a mobile business. If you need me to come to you it is $31. If you want to go to the notary, drive another quarter of a mile and pay $6 at the UPS Store and More. Quite often that $31 fee is desired.
My Website and Google Ad draws in my local work. NR draws in more commercial business.

While it is nice to know that people are "looking" at you, I personally hold no stock in the number. I have well over 8500 'hits', but it is really meaningless, as Joe said, because most of those hits, I'm sure, are coming from NR members clicking on my link from posts.

Since my first visit here there's been discussion about the
ratio of "hits" vs. work. I do not link to my profile, never have but if you know me you know where to find me. I agree with Paul on this one because I do it myself, when a truly good post hits the board my little clicker just automatically gravitates to the little blue name. Oh, same holds true with those "out there" posts, we are after all a curious society.

No calls, due to lack of availability - it's tempting to go full time and see if the phone will ring, but I need to do a little more research....
