Non-paying or Non-reponsive companies

I complete a job in January and February for FNP Doc Services and have never been paid has anyone else had this problems? Are they out of business?
Not getting any call backs- please advise what you all know about this company

I'm new to this. Is there a place to rate a signing service in this website?

I took one from Jevon just a few weeks ago even though I had read the recent postings. I've worked with Jevon for over two years and he has always met my fee and I've always been paid. I mentioned the recent postings and told him that if I did not get paid I would stop supporting FNP on the boards and do what it is that I do to collect. (I read down the list) Jevon assured me that I would be paid and that they (FNP) were having problems due to one large client stiffing them.

I have always been paid by FNP and trust that the same will continue. I know they are not easy to reach on the phone, but you might try email and insist on a response or you will do what you have to do. If I can help in any way I will.

Maggie,

Despite supportive statements, I have no use for FNP.

IMHO..they are disorganized, liars, late payers and generally no-goods.

To no one's surprise they are on my "do not use" list.

Here's the deal:

Did one in June of 06 for them.

Borrower cancelled.

FNP says no problem..we'll pay you for it..and for a new loan tomorrow.

Next day a new package come and borrower signs and all is well.

Days pass

Months pass.

5 months later I realize (stupid me) that I've been had.

Tried calling. Nobody answered.

Tried e-mailing. No immediate reply.

About a week or two later (to my great astonishment)...back comes an e-mail from FNP.

We couldn't find an address to send the check to. Geez, they had no problem calling me when the borrower cancelled the first loan.

And, then the check comes.

They totally zeroed out the first loan ( the one that was cancelled) and only paid for the loan that the borrowers signed and accepted.

By the time the check came for 1/2 the promised amount..6 months had passed.

They broke their promise..and were grossly tardy to boot. (Grossly tardy is 144 times worse than being just plain tardy)

If a company's promise is no good....the company is no good.

Did you make a copy of the check & follow through on

the partial payment? Also, ALWAYS ALWAYS get fee adjustments in writing. That way you have the modified "contract" to go back to rather than "he said, she said". Send certified mail, or better yet, overnight with signature required. Heck, you could send priority mail through the post office for $4.95 flat rate & receive delivery confirmation.

I just finally received a check for a job I did in Nov/05 by keeping records and chasing for my money every month.

Good luck!

Re: Did you make a copy of the check & follow through on

Melissa,

Did I make a copy of the check? Nope

Do I intend to go after them? Nope

I wrote it off and learned my lesson.

Rather than spend time throwing good money after bad, I just doubled my efforts to go after

better paying (and honest) companies. Seems to me that's a better and more productive way

to spend my time. And, in my case, it's paid off handsomely.

Maggie, I worked with FNP every now and then over the past couple of years. While they were always somewhat slow to pay, they always paid without a lot of follow up on my part. I last did a signing for them in January and after 60 days I began making calls and sending emails- all with no response- over a period of weeks. After numerous calls and emails I was paid a week ago. Based on this experience I will not work for them again- way too much hassle. Too bad because I always found them nice to work with.

I too have done a loan for them back on 3/26 and have yet to be paid. Same here, unanswered phone calls and email. I had no problem getting in touch with them during the signing and they called me back immediately. Now it is as if I have a plalque. No answers. Preparing to send snail mail with signature requested. They are on my black list. In my letter I am stating that I will contact the BBB and place them on ever notary forum's black list

I got a call today - asked the guy three times what the name of the company was. I thought he said F&P all three times. Found nothing on search under F&P. Finally figured it out afterward that it was FNP and called back to decline the job (left a message on the infamous VM that everyone keeps getting). Never got a confirmation anyway. Thanks NotRot!
