He just stiffs you if a signing rescinds or doesn't fund... He told me he didn't get paid, so he couldn't pay me and to try to collect from escrow! They, in turn, just said "sorry, no funds to pay you from" and that they would try to collect from the borrowers. My documentation is still stuck in the hard drive of my old pc, but I will eventually retrieve it and try again. Mr. Nguyen offered nothing - not even a trip fee - and this for a piggyback loan in Spanish! If he had even made a good faith offer, I might have been willing to work something out, but his attitude was just "too bad"! If he wants to make good on payment for that completed assignment, I will be more than happy to post a retraction.
[BTW, that signing was a nightmare, due the attendance of not only the LO (who barely said a word the whole time) but his wife, too -- yep, you "heard" me. She insisted on attending and trying to run the show until the borrower suggested that they leave after we finally finished the first loan. She had wanted the EO (who doesn't speak Spanish) to do the signing while she translated (LO doesn't speak Spanish, either) which is a definite no no in CA. I was not happy about not getting paid for that one!]
