It is amazing how life can change in an instant...
Times like these help me to remember to be thankful I woke up this morning, I have my family with me, and that we are all in pretty good health. I do pray for those who have lost loved ones, those who are displaced, and anyone touched by this devastation.
My heart and prayers go out to them all!

Re:It is far too much to take it all in...
I pray that they can put their lives back together. There has been way too much bad weather lately. It does make you feel greatful so many people live through it all. We should put out our flags

I am always dumbstruck to see what nature is capable of
In this day and age when nearly anything is possible and "can't" isn't in our vocabulary nature rears her ugly head and shows us just how delicate we really are. I cannot even begin to imagine what it's like to have hometown USA one moment and the next....It is an absolute miracle that anyone made it out of that destruction.

I am amazed that so few lives were lost. Imagine your entire town being wiped out and yet the masses survived. I grieve for those lost and their families, but at the same time, I am thankful for the fact that so many made it out alive. Homes and buildings can be rebuilt...lives can not.
Greensburg will get through this, but they need our help. I have no doubt in the will of the people living in our heartland. To rebuild these people need money; not old clothes and not toiletries. A small monetary donation will go much further to help these people get back to some sense of normalcy.
I am reminded of the devastation here in my town in the fall of 2004. People can pull together and do amazing things. The people of Greensburg are our neighbors and they need a little help right now. Please, give to the charity of your choice and earmark the donation for the restoration of Greensburg, KS.
