OT...e-mail...

can it get any more exicting then this?

Dear Friend,

Compliments of the day and God's blessings.
I am glad to inform you that I have successfully concluded the transaction, the money transferred to Spain. It is done through the assistance of Mr. Emilio Alvarez Infante who is a Spanish based business man .
Currently I am in Spain with him and my family.
Meanwhile,i didn't forget your past efforts and attempts to assist me in transferring those funds despite that it failed us some how.
Now contact my secretary in Cotonou Republic of Benin, his name Mr Emmanuel Anoka on email: [e-mail address] and ask him to send you a Bank Draft (Banker's check) of $800.000 which I kept for your compensation for all the past efforts and attempts to assist me in this matter. I appreciated your efforts at that time very much and I kept the draft for you as gratification.
So feel free and get in touched with my secretary Mr Emmanuel Anoka and instruct him where to send the Draft to you.
Please do let me know immediately you receive it so that we can share the joy after all the sufferness at that time. In the moment, I’m very busy here because of the investment projects which me and the new partner are having at hand also for holidays with my family.
Finally, remember that I had forwarded instruction to the secretary on your behalf to receive that money, so feel free to get in touch with Mr Emmanuel Anoka, he will send the amount to you without any delay.

Regards,

Arnold Umeche

Hey Charm! I've have gotten a ton of these. Nigerian people are on the loose! There have been many people that have been scammed by these emails. I was hoping for me it was true LOL! Could always use some extra cash! Unfortunately so do the Nigerians. Bummer huh?

Nigerian Scam

About 4 years ago I worked for a law firm that was in the same building as the Raleigh branch of the secret service. I had been getting these letters for months, and printed them out, brought them up to the SS office to ask about them. The agent told me about how some very stupid greedy people actually fell for the scam, flew overseas, and were never seen again. The scams now include many other countries, but they are still run by very ruthless and scary people.

Re: Nigerian Scam

I know, I had a signing not too long ago, where I heard about the "nightmare" of someone falling for this. Sad....really.
It ruined not only their bank account, but also hit their credit in a major league forged up way and lead to a divorce.
The WWW is a very scary place and it's a shame that we have to be so savvy to deal with it.

My hubby is an IT director and sources variable e-mails, they bounce off so many ip addy's, it's almost impossible in many cases to track it to the source.
And we were worried about the 'physical' real stranger danger growing up?

Re: Nigerian Scam MSNBC has been running and rerunning

an expose on the Nigerian type scammers. It's interesting.

Another view of it is The Ebola Monkey Man (Got this from Roger OH).

You know...I think that gal who killed her preacher husband had gotten tangled up with one of these scams too. Bad stuff.

Brenda, you...

Court TV nut. I love it. I think she was just really controlled by mental abuse. I never did hear anything to the controversy, but, such as life, I had to leave a couple of times.
She was so emotionally whipped, it was difficult for me to watch her....I'm fascinated with the current Specter case, what a job they are making him out to be! Wink

OT: Brenda, you...I usually see Nancy Grace at 9 pm

for most of my gossip headlines these days. I watch Court TV for about 20-30 minutes in the middle of the day when I go home for lunch.

I agree on the preacher's wife. I hate that they even found that woman guilty...but then again, I don't much care for bullies. Can't even think fairly about them. I couldn't stay with a man like that long enough to get stoked up on killing them. Certainly not going to let them make me lose years in Jail for their murder.

My Dad always told me you can't con an honest man.

If you are honest you really aren't going to fall for this BS. Greed is what draws people into these scams.

Re: My Dad always told me you can't con an honest man.

I agree about this type of a con, but I have always worried about elderly people in cons where affairs of the heart become a stake in them. Your daddy was sure right about this one though. I agree 100%.

Re: Nigerian Scam

I did a closing a couple months ago for a lady that was re-fiing to get cash to bring her husband to the states. She met him online from Nigeria. She went to Nigeria and married him. I questioned this because she is married and IL is a homestead state. Called Title and they had no idea what to do. He has never been in the states and they are not legally married here, so we proceeded. Anyway, during the signing she kept saying she hoped she was doing the right thing. He keeps asking her to send money and she does. She said other people she didn't know kept e-mailing her for money also. She said she is getting suspicious. I often wonder about her and if she's alright and if he ever came here. I would bet that she is getting scammed. Please be very careful and do not give out your personal info to anyone you don't know. I get these e-mails all the time and the block sender button is what I do immediately. Don't fall for this.

Re: Nigerian Scam

This is an email my significant other sent back to one, they had emailed back and forth a couple of times and he was screwing with them because he was sick of the countless emails. This particular one quit emailing after this email because Jeff had said he emailed all the correspondance to his lawyer, LOL. He was really messin' with them. It was hilarious. Pay close attention to the alias name he(Jeff) picked for himself.

Lindy, my dear.
I have to contact my lawyer as he is responsible for all money matters that pertain to me. When my grandfather died he left me twenty six million dollars in a trust fund that my lawyer monitors and knows everything I do. I have forwarded all emails you have sent to me, to him. So that he may see you are a good person and a believer in Christ and that our matter must remain a secret. I promise you he is a good man and a lover of God. He will not say anything or do anything to hurt you. Believe in the Lord and He shall deliver goodness and mercy, praise be to the All Mighty. Take heart, if God does call you home you shall bask in his greatness and ye shall be healed of all infimeries and be cleansed of all temptaions of the flesh. I await my time patiently to see the Lord in all His glory and pray that you too shall see him soon and worship His greatness.
God Bless You
