Premier Document Solutions - complaint filed for nonpayment
Premier Document Solutions owes me $150 for a signing done in February. Their confirmation says they pay within 30 days, but apparently that's just there for show. They do not respond to phone, email, or fax requests. I got a call from them about a month ago offering another signing; I told the woman I wouldn't do it because I was still waiting on payment for the first one. She took down all the info and promised to take care of it right away. Still nothing.
Their payment deadline was today; mail arrived, no check. As I promised them, I've filed a complaint with the LA BBB and their local Chamber of Commerce today, will get the word out on the various notary boards, and am looking into various legal actions including theft of services charges. If someone could tell me what state agency in CA regulates business licenses, that would be another complaint route I could take.
A search on them here indicates they used to be a decent company to work for, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

I had the same problem, but I did get paid. What I did was after several calls, and not getting a return call, I finally said I would be reporting them to the BBB. Guess what? I got a call back that same day. Payment went out immediately. You should let them know you are filing the report and see what happens.

Thanks - I did let them know I would be doing that in the final letter I sent them, and when the check didn't arrive I filed. We'll see if they do the right thing. I'll report back if and when I get paid.

I have begun faxing a collection letter to these deadbeat companies. I used to mail it, but faxing seems to work better. I let them know I'll be calling the title company (and I name a person by name) and the lender, plus will call the BBB and report negative info, plus will call the state's attorney general, the state banking commission, plus will contact the registrar of deeds to see if the deed was recorded and let her know it's a fraudulent notarization since the fee was never paid. I then promise that if they still fail to pay me, I'll file in small claims court. I have yet to be stiffed....Premier took nearly 2 months and also never returned my calls, emails or faxes. Funny how they were there before the signing, but afterwards when my payment is due? Not a soul could be rustled up. I did finally get paid, though.
