Things I have learned:
Using a mouse pad under the document gives a clear stamp every time. No matter what kind surface i.e. car hoods, old warped card tables.
Using SORTKWIK Instead of licking your fingers.
Using only home/office phone number as contact a number. Forward to cell. Saving minutes/money on cell phone bill.
Internet and phone all in one. Saving on phone/internet provider.
Using a free e-fax number Eliminates a monthly bill.
Not joining NNA. Saving hundreds!

I love Sortkwik and it is much more professional than licking your fingers! However the last item on your list, is most definitely the best tip!!!

Re: Sortkwik is also availalable at Staples
Those were great prices on that link - you can also purchase at Staples but it costs a little more. Look for it in the money counting section, like where they sell the money boxes and change sorters. I didn't know it was antibacterial! Kewl.

Love it...
I always keep 1 in my notary bag, 1 at my desk. Sometimes it comes in handy to entertain fussy little kids - and one time an older lady thought it was my ink pad for the thumbprint... ;>

Rubber fingers (old idea)- & other things I pack/my bag type
http://www.cleansweepsupply.com/pages/item-swi54032.html
they come in various sizes....and a pack of 12 is about $2.00
I keep them in a little zip lock bag.
other things I use: Soft grip pens for my elderly Reverse Mortgage signers Wide barrel pen for the folks with arthritis (I lay out a choice and they pick it) a magnifier sheet for those with vision problems
I put everything into a 12 can cooler bag (most merchandisers sell these) with a shoulder strap. It holds my journal, the CT manual in case I need to show a citation to someone, my clean paper, extra forms, (why people buy these when you can simply print them out yourselves with your name, expiration date, etc.- but maybe some states make one do that), stamps (ack, jurat, signature stamp, seal stamp), embosser, and fingerprint stamp pad (inkless- no muss).
I also keep business cards & change- some extra $5s, bills, etc. in the net pocket on the outside.

What great ideas, and here I've been throwing away those mouse pads all this time. And I thought you only licked fingers after eating chicken and ice cream sandwiches. Thank you. But explain this home/office phone thing.

Mom would have smacked us up side the head and handed us a napkin.
I work from home, but some people have offices, or a dedicated office line. SS inevitably call my cell first racking up minutes when I was sitting next to the phone. It also gives me uninterrupted down time when out playing.
