You know, they have some bloody nerve

A company who doesn't call me much because they don't want to meet my fee, called me today and met my fee for a 7:30 pm tonight. I call at 5 to inquire about docs, oh we don't have them yet. I have a 6:00 I have to leave for. I try to call the BO for the 7:30 to tell her I don't have docs and I will be late. Numbers don't work. Call the co back and say I don't have any good numbers and do you know when docs will be ready? They call me back at 6:25 and say we have no other numbers and we still don't have docs. I tell her I have other signings to do tonight, do you know when they will be available. No, she says and then asks me if this is my first EOM for Countrywide Full Spectrum because their notaries KNOW that they have to wait for docs and then go (this she said rudely and as if I were an idiot), I say no, as a matter of fact this is my fourth countrywide today. But there are other things I have to do. She says well if you can't do this tell me now and I'll find someone else. I say no, I cannot.

Now normally I am as flexible as can be, and will do whatever I can and I intended to in this case as well, but this woman insulted me and acted as if I had nothing else to do. Sorry, but I am not some little peon that can be intimidated. Plus this company ONLY calls me when they're desparate. OK done now. Thanks for letting me vent.

Same thing happened to me today with the same lender. I had a call yesterday for signing today @ 7:00pm. I normaly do not cover this area but since I have received some work from this title company before and they pay on time I accepted. I wait all day for docs. I sent emails and made phone calls, no return calls or emails - just the person who answers their phones telling me still no docs. I give up once 7:00pm has rolled around. Then about an hour and a half later I have docs in my email. I called the title company and told them I was not able to accomodate them due to the late hour. I would have arrived home after midnight. I work for a title company during the day and I preform signings on the side so I am familar with the EOM. I usually try to accomodate but I think this is outright rude. They should have rescheduled the signing upon not receiving the documents in time. It's the same old push and rush things that are not ready to close.

Sounds like my day in Ohio..Same situation. I had a signing at 8pm and this company I never worked for called for signing, I ask when? "Oh just fit them in" Ok, fee? negotiated that..when are docs arriving?? Will get back to you! Did receive parts of docs. realized it had many fax backs and it was a split..I called back asking for fee increase, it was approved..Never heard from them again! Went happily on my last signing of the day! EOM gotta love it! Have a safe weekend..

eom horror stories:

4pm yesterday--must be there at 7 & you're all we've got. Fine...long drive. Pay me & need docs NOW. 1/2 hr. worth of fee-fussing; re-negotiation. Finally, they see it my way (meaning they couldn't find anyone else.) Now it's 4:30 when I get both the docs AND the CO. B's phone is busy, busy. OK, if I print docs while waiting for B to get off the phone, I might make 7pm. I have 2 phone #s. One busy, other no answer/leave VM. Finally, at 5, get thru on 'home' phone---it's really B's work # & the work # is really a cell Employer tells me B left for another state early that day. Frown I e-mail, call, fax this info last night. Get call at noon today "Did it close?"

2pm yesterday--can u do tomorrow @ 2? No. Booked. Can u do any time? Yep, 5-ish.
LO calls "make as late as possible--we're behind". No...B's have activities to get to--make it as early as possible--it was originally scheduled for 2 with them & they are trying to cooperate. At 6:30, call from SS--Cancelled/no docs. OK, I'll let B know. B knew it was cancelled--and why--3 hours earlier.

9pm today: Can u...tonight? No, by time I get & print docs & drive there, it'll be tomorrow!

addendum: Re: eom horror stories:

Re: addendum, addendum: Re: eom horror stories:

First one in first post: title called again Sat. morning to see if it closed. I've called, faxed, e-mailed everybody that it did not close and why 2 days ago!
The upside: Was told I'd be paid full fee. (I did not suggest this.) The downside: when they realize the hefty fee they agreed to---I'm sure I won't see it. Be lucky to not have to fight for the print fee.

Re: Sure smells like a ServiceStink deal to me.-LOL no, but
