This is a joke right?
I mean come on people. I don't think I've had so many low ball calls in a week before. Turned one down today, offered $85 inc. edocs, sorry but my min. fee is $xxx, oh there's no way we can do that, I'm sorry but I won't be able to assist you. OK thanks he says as he's hanging up the phone. Bleh, my end of month is kind of slow, but I'm not desparate, I'd rather play catch with my kids than bother with that.

AND SOME MOMO WILL TAKE IT AND DEFEND THEMSELVES
There are two on N/R who defend taking the low ball signings and proud they get $35-40 for it and are happy...
and don't bother yelling at me like you usually do... I disagree with your taking those signings at such ridciulous fees

I had an offer of $50.00 for edocs, I told the SS I'm a professional you'll have to hire a amature for that price.

That is ridiculous!!! No-one should get less than $35 for printing out the docs - on top of the signing fee! With offering $45, they are basically only offering $10 to do the signing!!!
You know they are charging the title company extra for the printing of the docs - and every penny they charge for the printing should go to the signing agent, no SS should make money off the printing fee.

75.00 fee for edocs
Offered today for "somewhere in Orlando", like we are a 1 light town! Couldn't say where -just set w/bor. for 9am and ask them where. At least 1 hr. drive in rush traffic regardless of where - Told my $XXX, and the poor thing asked that I "work w/them" as the TC is not giving them much. Not my prob. they can't ask for money. Forgot their name, sounded like Persnickety or some such. Like others, would rather watch grass grow!

Got 2 low-ball and one good one today
One agency said they normally pay $50 for closings, but could go up to $60 because of the long distance. Another said they only get $100 from the title company, so they could pay $75. And the third was for my normal fee of $125. You know which one I accepted. LOL The one that said they only get $100 from the title company told me they get volume from that title company and have a set "per closing" price of $100 for any and all of them. I figure that's their foolish mistake, and I am not going to work for nothing or lose money on an assignment because they did a poor job of negotiating with the title company.

Hey, I'd take $45.00 fee for edocs...and another $100
for the rest of it--if it's close & no faxbacks, splits, etc. Unreal~~

Re: LOL Lee
Speaking of MOMOs and Jackbags, I am a bit of one of them today. Got a call from a SS to do a signing tomorrow. 1st and 2nd with Edocs. Asked how much I'd charge. Now mind you I am driving and trying to keep the baby happy, but I lowballed myself and she said, "well, I can pay you $XXX" and offered me more than I quoted--what I should have been asking and would have had I been mentally present. It restores my faith that there are some really good and fair companies out there. Thank goodness, because the lowballers and no payers really get me down sometimes.

Re: LOL Lee - - hmmmm...sounds like Andy to me.
Andy is a guy who is not interested in keeping every red cent for himself and knows that greed is just wrong. He actually wants to improve the SA industry from the inside out. He will hardly let you take a signing for too cheap.

I was offered $40 for me to drive 45 minutes away with overnight docs. Didn't even bother referring her to my buddy Zana. I told her I don't walk out of my front door for less than $75 and it would be AT LEAST $125 to do her signing.

Re: Lowball fees
Received a call late at night from a SS to do a closing today 5/24 for 60.00 at 6pm in Longbranch, NJ. After I explained the cost of tolls from NY, plus gas and mileage they still insisted on a mere 100.00. I laughed that guy off the phone the first time now a lady calls and say's they can do 115.00 and so I again laugh them off the phone. 3rd call and now the fee is 120-130. I hesitate............wait 2 minutes.............laugh again and rejected the offer until they met my price. I only heard dialtone from that point on. Tooooo long of a drive from where I live to do a closing.
