wow...

Okay so I don't post very often, but today I am going to. I just came back from a signing where the couple signed the other night for another loan of theirs and the notary NEVER had them sign her journal? Said she does not keep one. When the couple asked why they did not have to sign her book and give a thumb print she laughed and said only some notaries do that for their records. So of coarse today they then asked why the heck they need to sign mine, why cant they just go if the other notary said they don't have to sign. Arrrrg!

That's grounds for revocation or supension of commission in CA. A very big no-no!!

Worse than that...

Willfully neglecting to keep your journal is grounds for revocation of your commission, you got that correct...

Take another look at what your handbook says about not getting a thumbprint for a mortgage signing... that's even uglier.

She ought to be turned in...
