A bit of irony here....
I have been trying to collect money from a company since April...no return calls from them, not one returned e-mail. I finally called and did a 'phone sit-in' Told the receptionist I was not going to get off the phone until I got paid. She said they were all in meetings. I told her to get the GM out of the meeting now b/c I had left messages that had gone unreturned. (I didn't have the number to the business, just one person's direct number)
Finally, I get the GM on the phone and he is MAD...but I am MADDER. He yells and curses (yes, curses) me up and down. I explain that this is unacceptable timeliness in payment and I am not going to get off the phone until I get paid. He finally calms down and says he will look into it. I call back later that day and am told I will be getting a check in the next week.
Well, today is the day! Got it (nearly 7 months after the fact), but here is the IRONY...I am signing this borrower again tonight with another company. Strange that I get paid from APRIL on this same day! Here's to hoping this new company will not be continuing this NIGHTMARE!!!
