etc. Read previous post about this company --I thought I would give them a chance - Scheduler called me this morning ---claimed because I did not follow instructions and included my confirmation in package - they were shorted by Title co. His story may or may not be true. However, in all of my 4 years, I have never heard or been penalized in this manner.
Take my word for it - Just say no and don't work for them.

This is what I have written next to their name on my no-no list:
CTC Notary (reports of payment withheld for ridiculous reasons; abusive e-mails)
I've never worked for them - these are just comments I've read from others.

And, it is true---that is a total disregard of the notary's time and resources - Lesson learned - I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt - Vital Signings is listed on the no-no list also - and I have never had a problem with them.

I've added my rating and I suggest others go in and do the same. No one has time or patience for nonsense in this economy.

Cynthia, Vital Signings is reported to be irritating, low-paying, but not non-payers.
When a company is reported not to pay, why take a chance? I don't get it...if notaries want to get paid, they really should heed the reports of their peers on this board...you're probably not going to get much different treatment.

Brenda, I reread the post below--the notary said that CTC had a problem with signatures on the docs. I thought to myself - I have not had any issues with the docs that I return to the title or signing companies-- I just didn't think these guys were that bad - but, they are. I agree with the post-they don't intend to pay anyone if they can get away with it. Also, right again - Slow pay, low pay is quite a different issue from NO PAY. First Choice is another company that is listed on the no-no list. However, Jarrod paid my fee.
I'm not done with CTC by any means.
AFTER I RETURNED THE DOCS, CTC CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT I DIDN'T HAVE ONE OF THE DOCUMENTS SIGNED PROPERLY (THE BORROWER HAD REFUSED TO SIGN THIS SAME FORM ON BOTH LOANS) THE OTHER LOAN WENT THROUGH AND I WAS PAID FOR IT. THIS COMPANY KEPT ARGUING WITH ME BACK AND FORTH AND I FINALLY GOT SO ANGRY THAT I FINALLY TOLD THEN TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THEIR WORK AND DON'T EVER CALL ME AGAIN. I NEVER DID GET PAID. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THEY TRY TO FIND SOMETHING TO ACCUSE YOU OF AND THEN ARGUE ABOUT IT UNTIL YOU GIVE UP AND THEY WIN. I TOLD THEM THAT I WAS GOING TO REPORT THEM AND THEY THREATENED ME BY TELLING ME THEY WERE GOING TO TURN ME INTO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. THEY ACT LIKE BICKERING CHILDREN AND MY TIME IS WORTH MORE TO ME THAN THAT.

Re: CTC Notary in Sacramento?
Yes - they're in Sac. I've never worked for them but they called me on Monday for a last minute signing that I had to turn down. Guess I'm glad I did now..

WOW READ THIS!!!!!!!
Ok I have worked with CTC Notary for many years now and I must say that I have had no problems with this company or the staff. They have always mad a point to not only be friendly but outgoing as well. CTC Notary has always paid me in a timely manner and I personally think that they are one of the better companies that I have worked with.

I will never work for CTC again and strongly suggest no one else does either. I did a signing for them in October that they are refusing to pay me for. I was contacted by CTC two days after the signing telling me that the documents had been printed incorrectly and the docs would need to be re-signed. They said that the printing had been cut off on the left side of the documents - which I knew was not true. I unfortunately was out of town so couldn't go out that same day to re-sign so he told me he would have to send out another notary and I would not be paid. I followed up on the signing when I got back to town and found out it had not needed to be re-signed so I contacted CTC about that and he went bullistic on me - cussing me out and I ended up hanging up on him. He accused me of being unprofessional in a previous conversation and then he ends up going totally over the edge. Don't work for them!!

This post is to retract my previous statement in regards to CTC Notary. I have worked for them and they paid in under 30 days.
