Anyone been paid by these guys lately? I have been calling for weeks for a signing from 9/22/07. My question is if they have gone under why not disconnect your phone? Grr, frustrated!

I did a signing for them back in early Sept. and called on non-payment issues towards the end of Oct. They said the check would be in the mail soon...well, no check and since then they haven't answered the phone or returned my phone messages. Just this week i sent them a letter warning them that i would have to take stronger actions if I didn't receive payment within "x" amount of days...we'll see if anything becomes of it.

Thanks AJ. That's really what I needed to know. I hope there's a special hell for companies who hire folks knowing very well they will not ever come up with the payment.

Charles Frost - Don't work for them!! Bad news!
Oh Man am I having problems with them!! I did a signing for them August 30th and haven't been paid. Machel Miller is the one that hired me and won't return my calls or emails. I have gotten their receptionist of the phone a number of times but she just says she doesn't know anything and will relay my message. I did happen to get Machel on the phone last week and she said she had my voucher in front of her and was going to talk to Charles about the "money situation". Still have not been paid. Don't work for them!!!

It is good to know. If you remember Michelle Miller was the owner of California Notary INC, and then Notary Perfect. Inc. Now it seems she has another company. I reported her unpaid practices to Attorney General, SOS, BBB.

Thank you everyone for your input. For all the good it will do I am going to file with BBB right now. Hopefully someone else will read this thread before they waste their time these deadbeats.

Update on payment
After leaving more messages than I could count including one stating that due to their lack of response I was filing a complaint with the BBB they suddenly cut me a check. Without ever returning my calls or saying a word. Check arrived yesterday being December 13, 2007 hence I waited just shy 90 days.
I would not do it again even though I was eventually paid.
