Closed First Vendor Services

Anyone heard of them? I received a call from them to be listed in their database. It is free to be listed and they claim they can send you work immediately. The only "catch" is they ask that you give them a discount price for them sending business your way.

Re: What do they consider a discount price????

They don't quote any prices. They want you to complete a form listing your current prices and the wholesale/discount price you would charge them. I think the question here is "what do WE consider a discount price?

Re: What do they consider a discount price????

Well then my "normal" price would just increase so that my "discount" price is what I get for all my other closings.

How I've been handling this (subtitle) how to play their game:
Sure... I'll discount all closings over (an unreachable #) per month by (whatever). Put up or shut up.

I did this back in July, I did get 2 jobs right away but nothing since. One of the fell through because the client wanted a 1/2 million E&O policy.

Tin cup request

Begging you for validation. Still the middleman with just a different way of inserting themselves in there
Fancy way of asking for a portion of your fees for next to nothing effort on their part. If you do this tell them they don't get paid unless you get paid.

They called me yesterday

The fellow who called said there would be aprox 20-29 in my area each month and docs would go to the borrower. I have heard this a few times over the years. I won't hold my breath.
