FNP document services
I completed a closing for FNP nearly a month ago. They did not have the most stellar rep here at NotRot, but I completed the closing anyway. I was assured by their staff that I would be paid and they modified the confirmation to state that I would be paid regardless of a no sign or rescinded loan. I made them aware that I was hesitant to accept because of their rep. He told me that he would cut my check for me the week after closing.
Well it has been just at a month with no payment. Emails and phone calls have gone unanswered. They have ten more days then I am going to quit playing nice.

"He told me that he would cut my check for me the week after closing. "
Make him live up to his promises...I'd chase him now IMHO
Guess I'm in that kind of mood today..<G>

Did they cross their heart and hope to die?
Past performance is not indicative in stocks and mutual funds, but in this business it is. I am not getting why someone reads about some company, sees they have a terrible record, yet plows forward thinking they have changed. Leopards can't change their spots, a zebra cannot change his stripes and poorly run companies are poorly run companies.

Re: Did they cross their heart and hope to die?
Ain't it something? I can't believe how many messages I've read on this board in the past day or two where people accepted closings from a company with a crappy reputation because they PROMISED that things had changed and they'd be paid with no problem.
People wonder how they get away with it for so long? This is how, just tell some poor sucker what he wants to hear. Why anybody would take the word of an obvious crook over the words of multiple people who have been screwed over by him is beyond me.
I have zero sympathy for any of them. If you ignore all the warnings on this board you deserve to be screwed over.

I have done 9 closings ( $1250) for them so far this year, the last one was on 8/25 paid on 10/2/07. Jevon pays in 45 days. If it goes to 60 days, I would not mind.

I would accept 45 days, except for the fact that I was told that I would be paid a week after closing.

It's been about a year since I did one for FNP. I had to go to extremes to get Jevon's cell phone # and found that they used an outside Co. out of Ohio to pay their notaries. Once I got him on the phone, he was OK to deal with and I had my check in less than a week. Just a poor method of record keeping and bill paying. Honest? yep..diligent? nope...

I have done several closings for FNP over the last couple years. Jevon usually gets back to me if I call asking nicely what the situation is.
About three months ago my husband did a closing for them because I was busy and assured him that they were good payers. After 2 months, he still had not received a check so I called and emailed Jevon. He responded that he was having some problems collecting from his contact, and held up our payment because of that.
I suggested to him that if he were proactive rather than reactive in letting the notaries know what was happening in his cashflow, that there might be more understanding. I think he was receptive.
Anyway, the last one I did was at 40 days to pay, so he seems to be getting in a better flow.

i did a signing for them on 6/29 and have not received payment. I did one on 7/31 and received payment on 8/31. I emailed Jevon on 11/1 and called him and left a message. He never reeturned my call or messsage. Now the 904-807-8533 phone line has been disconnected. rnichols

Within hours, of posting my displeasure with not receiving payment for a 6/29 signing, I received an E-mail that the check would be cut and sent out. Today, I received the check, with payment in full. Thank You.... Thank You Russ
