FWIW... don't just accept it...

NREIS sent out an e/m a while back stating they 'pay $15 for edocs'. Maybe--but my fees are MY fees. Accepted a 'docs to B' one--which turned into edocs--that I just received unasked & unannounced in my inbox--right along with the new, improved CO showing their add'l $15 for this.

Nope--not gonna happen. E'd 'em back & said "new CO showing MY fee--now!" Got it! Along with a profuse apology. My point is don't just take this nonsense from them or anyone. The reason they are cutting fees is simply because they can. There apparently are way too many somebodies out there who just accept this sort of nonsense or they wouldn't be doing it. Just say no. Please...

Re: Stand your ground Lee, I do the same thing!!

NREIS has never tried to pay me only $15 for edocs....I just dont get who in their right mind would accept that fee???? My edocs fees pay for print time and printing supplies. It is so confusing to me how there are so many different accounts of working with the same companies. Some people say this and some say that...I guess they will all take what they can get- on both sides! That is too bad....had you already printed? Did they accept your fee?

No, I did not print; nor would I, nor would I just 'go & do' unless & until they sent me a new CO with MY fee on it. I didn't have to threaten this, mind you, I just told them that their fee was unacceptable & this is MY fee & I need a new CO reflecting this right now. I got it, along with an apology.

And, believe me, if an opportunity had come up to take one for the same time--before they got back to me with a new CO, I would have sent it back to them stating that 'apparently, we are still in the negotiation process & I've accepted another one in the meantime. Why? Because--like them--I can! BTW, I used to be a much nicer person, but am now heeding those words of wisdom: Nice guys finish last.

Way to go Lee!!! I admire the way you do business. I stick to my fee because I know what it cost me to do the job. They can pay me now or pay me later. I have had calls asking me to go to complete signings that someone else had failed to complete the job correctly.
