LIA

LIA just called me and asked to do a loan modification that requires only one notary stamp for $30. It's really close by but when I checked back here, there are a lot of bad comments. How are they now?

Per my conversation with them, they stated that they are getting back topaying within 30 days. They did mention that they still have some payments at 45 days but are clearing them up now that they have their accounting department situation straightened out. I gave them a shot since the mods were within walking distance but not for 30.00. I know a notary who did a couple for them and was paid within 30days. There are negative comments out there on them but I thought I would try them out for a change.

I did a job for them and was paid right at 60 days, when they said it would be. They told me they were getting back on track. That was a couple of weeks ago, so it looks like they are trying.

$30.00 are you kidding? Most companies, even the lowball ones are offering $50.00. Borrower's who are instructed to contact their own notary is usually prepared to pay $50.00.
Notaries will be in demand for loan modifications. Get ready for more business. It is ok to make a profit.

Actually they offered only $25. After a long silence on my part, they raised it to $30. The only reason I agreed to it is because according to them (and I confirmed it with the borrowers) there are only 2 pages and it is very close by. Most of the modifications I did were five pages and for those, I did get paid $50.

Re: LIA**they still suck. I am at over 60

days for two of those modifications-they lie if they say they pay in 45 or 60. Maybe they should be LIE signing! I told them i will be contacting Washington Mutual about payment if they do not send me a check by next week.

There isn't ANY reason for us to be waiting 45 - 60 days to be paid for our services. I waited 70 days and only got paid after I contacted the Wisconsin SoS and AG's Offices.
These companies are paid within a week so why aren't we. As for LIAr Signing, low life, lying, money hording, two-faced. Another disgrace to the industry. The lies coming out of their mouths are nothing but a waste of good air. None of us should even be starting our cars for a $30 offer for work to begin with.

I am well over 60 days. Was told net 45. Oct 15th (58 days) was told all past due invoices were being sent out on the 15th. This past Tuesday I was told all past due invoices from August were mailed on Monday. I have not received the check and I am not holding my breath. Personally I am done with them.

This is what I don't get. People will do a 2 page modification for $30, or a 5 page modification for $50. Fine, they are small packages close by. But then I read on here about all these folks who love LandAm and FASS who pay between $50-$60 for a full blown signing. It does not make any sense to me when it comes to lowballers LandAm and FASS. I sometimes get the feeling that some would still love those two if they paid $40 a signing as long as the checks were coming every couple weeks.
