Magnetic car signs

I'm really considering getting one of PAW's magnetic car signs for my SUV. Just wondering how much info people actually put on their magnets. Company name/website only? Phone #? I don't know why I am considering not putting my #, maybe because I'm afraid someone might call to crank me or to tell me off for driving too slow? Wink

That is what popped in my mind... that someone would call and tell me to get out of the way... which then would piss me off...

I have considered getting a vehicle and having it "wrapped" it is awesome in how they do that... In Dallas they will "wrap" the city buses, and it looks great.

Hasn't happened to me yet

I have had one for a couple of years. I have gotten business off it too. One was the man driving the garbage truck doing a pick up at the home I was doing business in.

I have one of this “magnetic sign” with my logo. I create my own logo but the designer printed it. I do carry it on my car’s dashboard in the passenger side. I drive a Jeep and it does help me with identification because I have it registered. He told me that it could be lost while driving in HWY.

The advantage of care this sign with me is that sometimes I need a patrol to follow me to my signing destination and the police ask me to identify myself. It is serve my purpose because in case something happen to me while doing signing the patrol man has all my identification is security and no doubt they can communicate with the company and know who it is.

It is up to you to decide based on your own practicality. In my opinion it does not trouble if you care one of these magnetic sign.

I don't understand why the patrol man follows you to your signing. Can you please explain?

Okay! I travel many times to a rural area and in a middle of nowhere in Wyoming. And because I experience some resistance with some borrowers at the time appointment is to be confirmed. Because of borrower's resistance I simply have this privilege to request a back up in this state. And they prompt serve me when I request to cover me for that particular area. And most the time I am absolutely correct in request that cover.

This state is a residence of cowboys and gals that you never know their outcome. So, sometimes it is better I be safer than sorrow.

You may think I am weak person..... wrong I have 3 self-defense as you know self-defense person does not attack anybody. People with self-defense skills protect themselves and is better that they respect the law. And I try to protect myself in case some mad cow attack me. Now, you may understand my reason to request (sometimes) patrol. Ha!

I did not mind to explain my reasons. I am glad that you asked and hope this help to clarify . . .

I see. Thank you for that explanation. It's never crossed my mind to request escourt while I have traveled in questionable land and carefully "ignored" the growling dogs while I made my way up to the house, pranced over cattle guards to open and shut gates while wearing three inch heels...had to pull onto a curb and into a yard to avoid five cars in a high speed chase...and all I could think of was I hoped these delays wouldn't throw my schedule off too much...had to get to the next one...ah...those were the days.

I had someone pull an insurance fraud incident. They got my information from my magnet sign and told police that my car hit them. They told the police that it was a man driving and the police called me. I told the police that it was my car, and I am the only one who drives it.
I was not in the area of town at all. I called my insurance company and they had me take
it to a shop to have pictures take of my vehicle that had no damage. Nothing ever came of it, it was a insurance fraud scam.

If you have a business add on a car it must have commercial plates in NJ. Be careful police can ticket you.

What if I was selling Avon or Mary Kay? I would have to have commercial plates if I had their sticker on my window?

You are absolutely right! I worked for a company in PA and they had a vehicle with the company name on the side. The vehicle was registered in PA, no commerical tags. Since they were traveling in NJ, they received a ticket. The legal department of the company protested the ticket and lost.

Multiple Car Signs

I purchased two different car signs from PAW. One is for the trunk door of my car. It has my company name and website addy. The 2nd one is on my mom's car - company name and phone number. I haven't had any prank calls or strange incidents. I keep hoping I'll be asked out on a date but that hasn't happened either so I think you're safe (smile).

Do you have a bass boat? A trust fund? A liquor store? Do you ever visit Austin?

I thought being a platinum blond was a requirement Hugh.

Re: Multiple Car Signs

Filled that requirement. 70 years old, and I finally acquire a platinum blonde. Don't know what to do with her, though, and even if I did, I'm not sure I could. So now I'm working on the rest of the requirements. I know I know what to do with a liquor store.

I have had a magnetic sign for about 1 1/2 years now and have not had any calls yelling at me about my driving. I did have a lady call me once to let me know my back brake light was out. I have also received calls to pull over to notarize documents. Sometimes I do if I am not late for an appointment. Gives me a little extra lunch money. I feel that any extra advertising helps.

Yeap! Pride yo and the work yo do. It is a great honor to be an official of the state. I like to reminder the borrowers that I am an official of the state not simply a Notary Public. They usually change their behavior for better in a second. I feel very good about. So, go forward gal with you magnetic sign and doing yo notarization while doing one way stop to fufill your notarial duty. Bravo!
