Look for the orange search button and then type in Nexus. I would hate to be the one who says this but you are most likely not going to be paid. He still owes me 125.00. He is one of those types of people who is a parasite. If you sign up on his website it will ask you to sign a contract stating that if you contact the other party ( lender or title company) about payment then you have breached the contract. I am sorry to give you the news but you will probably not be paid. This is not the first company name that he has used to rip us notaries off. One day this person will get what is coming. Through experience, what goes around comes around. Do you think he will be able to retire off of this? NO! Everything that you do will come back to you double weather (sp?) it be good or bad. I know one thing though, I can fall asleep at night and not have to worry about someone who has a family to feed or bills to pay going postal on me. Good Night Dan!!!

As Sylvia states, there are plenty posts to read regarding Dan Schmalz and none are bright and cherry. Tried reporting him to the BBB but didn't get far there. Just curious but who was the lendor and title company? Hopefully it's not the same one that he stiffed me with because they said they dropped him....also, if every single signing agent he owes reports him to the Dayton Daily News (his community newspaper) then possibly they will take notice and investigate. I' d be willing to compile a list and send to them any maybe some other local media in the Dayton area.....strength in numbers could so some good.

Nexus Signing Solution, which is owned by Dan Schmalz and Gary A. Swain, used to be National Signing Network, LLC, and both companies were dissolved after a few months of being opened.
I have not been paid the $100 fee due for the signing I performed back in 02/07 - so stay away from these guys! You can find information on these companies, or any successor companies operated by Dan Schmalz or Gary Swain, by checking out the Ohio Secretary of State's website.
Apparently, the Mr. Schmalz and Mr. Swain's intent was to defraud notaries out of pay for work performed. In the meantime, Schmalz and Swain still received payment from title agencies that hired them as a signing company.
I recommend that we continue to notify the Ohio Secretary of State, the Dayton Bar Association, the Ohio District Attorney, as well as the Dayton Better Business Bureau regarding these fly by night companies and Mr. Schmalz's and Mr. Swain's fraudulent scheme.
If you have not been paid by these companies, please e-mail me your name, date of service performed, and amount due, so I may submit this information to the Ohio AG and the Dayton Bar Association. I will also be happy to provide you a word document with all the contact information I had to pay for through whitepages.com on Dan Schmalz.
Sincerely, Your Fellow Notary
