NotaryBiz called and asked if I am available for a signing Monday next week at 10 pm. 10 PM!!! I remember seeing the great comments about this SS and so I asked how much. They said the lender only wanted to pay $50. Yeah right and in that hour?!?! I quoted them my price. I hope they call back and not find that notary who offers $50 in our area.

They have always met my fee & paid in a timely manner. As for 10pm, I don't think that it all that bad, but I am a night person anyway.

Thanks, Maggie for not accepting their $50 fee. Shame to the person who did. He or she is driving us down but we'll surely not let him or her.

I understand newbies...

accepting $50 fees to get started. I really do. I don't agree with it, but everyone has to do what they feel works for them.

For me, when I was told that the lender set the fee at $50 I knew that was a lie. I didn't want to work for someone who was lying to me.

I turned them down too. They offered up to $65 but told them no, especially since it was 10pm

Wow they went up $15! I wonder if they found someone. Oh well. Thanks for turning them down. It's nice to know that there are a few notaries in our area that will stand by their fees.

Here is the sad story about this industry, it is cut throat. The product I sell is worth the price

I place on it. Carmi/CA- I experience this all the time. No calling back when they can find

cheaper closers.
