Notary needs to surrender Tx commission.....
Last week, I emailed an Affidavit of Heirship to a client to be notarized (I hate doing that) and brought back in for her closing. She took it, along w/the disinterested parties to sign it, to her bank.
The notary at the bank complained that it was not necessary for the doc to have a jurat and acknowl. for each affiant. The notary filled in the dates and stamped the doc on the notary signature lines........ and did not sign the doc.
Huh!!

Yeah..... and the seller, an elderly lady, had a feeling it was not correct. But the lady at "her" bank was such a "B" she didn't push the issue, poor lady. So, she asked the disinterested parties to go to the closing w/her. Smart lady. We were able to more forward w/the closing. Another doc to hang in the frig! Gotta have something to give us a chuckle (after the fact)..... our party pics are outdated
