OT Question - Ford Escape Hybrid

Does anyone have one, or know of anyone that has one? I am thinking of getting a vehicle just for my notary business. I want it to be a Hybrid, but I dont care for the small match box type cars, as I am to tall. Don't really want to spend the money on a Lexus either, but have not heard much about the Escape.

Any information would be appreciated.

You may want to visit www.Epinions.com. It's a site where you can find reviews of various products and/or services. I was a contributor to that site several years ago. It has everything you can imagine on it. This site has nothing to do with notary work and I don't get anything by telling people about it. It's one of the places I go to research products online and figured I'd pass on the info.

I've just bought a Saturn VUE Hybrid and I really like it! I'm a big person too, and it's easier to get in and out of and you sit higher when driving...It's kinda a size between the large SUV's and the Ford Escape Hybrid..I get excellent gas mileage!

Thanks Larry, I have seen the Saturn, but not actually stopped at a dealer and looked at one.

I have a Prius, formerly Nissan King Cab truck. I thought I was going to have a hard time giving up truck and all the space for hauling things around, but the Prius does let back seats fold flat thereby increasing cargo space. Not a truck, but can always borrow or rent for day if really necessary.

Love the Prius - about 46-52 mpg. Great pick up and go, good crash ratings and so on. I have not regretted my decision at all.

Good luck in your quest for great vehicle.

Go with the world leader in hybrid tech. Toyota. But remember you will be saving some green, but not the ones in your checkbook.

Not that I want another van after having an SUV now but

Chrysler has a minivan that the 2 bucket seats turn to face the back seat and a table can pop up between them. I saw this and thought I could close a loan in my vehicle. I think its an excellent idea. Could come in handy. My husband is making me look for something else. I have an extended Trailblazer, which I have loved. I'm putting so many miles on it that he wants to get rid of it while it still has some trade in value.

To add to this post. The Escape Hybrid is using old Toyota technology that Toyota leased to Ford. From what I've heard, the gas economy is only gained if you drive a lot of long trips, city driving won't get you the economy that you are looking for.

Thank you all for the comments...

I am in the research mode at this point, have not made any decisions, I may just keep the 2 fuel hogs I have.

I am not a fan of small cars, never owned one in my life, but with the cost of fuel these days I am thinking I should have something smaller than what I have now.

Thank you all again for your input.
