PIMP ( I NEVER THOUGHT OF MYSELF THAT WAY )

I am somewhat offended by that. ( NOT ) My mother would NOT be proud of people calling me that kinda name.

I'm Glad You're Only "Somewhat" Offended, Tony...

...as the tone of my reply to Les' comments on how to classify HUD fee listings for SS's was "somewhat" in jest. While I'm sure you've never thought of yourself in that category, my rationale for drawing the comparison between pimps & SS's has to do with who actually does the bulk of the work (not posessing actual experience in this area, mind you!). I've never had the occasion myself to work with your company, however I read nothing but good comments from those who have. I'm glad you're one of the "good guys" in the SS industry. That still doesn't mean I'm a fan of SS's. They serve no useful purpose in my opinion other than draining money away from the SA. I've been performing signings since 2001 & have never seen or heard one good reason for the existence of SS's...at least none that moved me to change my opinion. Tell your mom I don't hold your SS ownership against you!

Re: I'm Glad You're Only "Somewhat" Offended, Tony...

while we are all entitled to our own opinions, your comment on th 'pimp' issue is insulting to say th least - so what you're inferring is that I'm a whore, should I take a job from a SS that is soley employed by a TC....because they have neither the time or staff to do it themselves. You should be ashamed of yourself for putting us down only to glorify your own business decisions.

noun: someone who procures customers for whores (in England they call a pimp a ponce)
verb: arrange for sexual partners for others

maybe if you were moe educated, you could find the right word for what you push onto others as your perception of those that accept assigments from the middle man.

Knowing the Level of Personal Animosity...

...you've shown towards me in the past your reply shouldn't surprise me. I personally don't believe you have any real sense of indignance in this at all. It's just your way of taking a free shot when you think you've got the moral upper hand. I freely admitted the analogy isn't "technically" correct & there was never an inference at all on my part to name anyone on this board a whore. If you want to deduce & infer that on your own be my guest. By the way, I've never castigated or put down a single SA for accepting SS assignments. And by the same token I'm not ashamed at all with letting my feelings about SS's be known. All in all a mountain is being made out of a mole hill with your attempt to fan the flames of this discussion. But as I said...I should have expected it.
