Re: REO LAND SERVICES, INC

I used to do several for them(purchases). In June of this year I did my last one. They refused to pay me at the time. Nothing was wrong with the docs or anything, they just decided they will take their time to pay. I finally got paid, i believe it was sometime in October. l

Prior to that they took 30 days to pay; never 4 months. I haven't heard from them since.

I think they are the same company as Real Estate One. They are terrible at paying. It takes many calls and emails. It's not worth the work

Still waiting to get paid for a job done 3/2007. File funded, recorded, the whole 9 yards. They just refuse to pay me. I know others who are having the same problem. I like the people that work there, but for absolutely no reason, they will not pay me.

Re: REO LAND SERVICES, INC

Thank you all for the warnings. And I am going to try to keep a list of any service like this that has a problem that prevents notaries from being paid. I surely hope that everyone who has a problems with certain companies that don't pay as should, Will post thier names on this chat board for others to have warning to beware.

Re: REO LAND SERVICES, INC

I like lawyers, and I find them the most ethical people I deal with, the common perception notwithstanding. The owner of REO, if my memory serves correctly, is a lawyer, and HE is the type of lawyer that gives other lawyers such a poor reputation. My experience echoes that of other people who simply did not get paid. I would walk a w-i-d-e path around any assignments from this company.

I'm with His Hughness!

Two of the best companies that I have the honor of working with are owned and operated by attorneys. There are other good firms owned by attorneys. Two companies that I will never work for again are owned by attorneys.

Companies owned by attorneys seem to be either the best or the worst!

Re: I'm with His Hughness!

Thanks to all of you that responded to my posting regarding REO. I decided against wanting to be bother with the hassle of running someone down for my hard earned money.
I've gotten burned before, it just will not happen again.

Have a wonderful weekend!!!!
