Sign On The X did they pay you?

I took a job from them for this week because they say their acc'ts payb'l lady was replaced and they have spent the last six months getting current with notaries who were owed overdue paym'ts. Anyone still not getting paid?

I have been waiting to be paid for 7 months... and still have not... so you can use that however you want....

Did they also tell you?

The check is in the mail.

You can't believe everything you read, those folks just didn't follow our directions.

What do you think Steve? If they fire one person who obviously was the problem that now everything will be coming up roses? Don't be a sucker (said in the kindest way).

only after much hounding, reporting to BBB and everyone

else who would listen. Now understand they don't cooperate from BBB reporting as they once did.

Like Philip said: Don't be a sucker (nice to you, not nice to them!)

The last signing did for them was in September - got their invoice receipt email. But nothing yet and I have done four other signings over the last 18mos for which I have not been paid. Gee, why did I take the last one, because they promised they would catch up on the payments.

Claudia use those free long distance minutes on your cell

and start calling the TC you sent those docs to. When the front office will not help you, call back and ask nicely for the legal department. Explain to the legal department that the SS they are using has ripped you off and that you feel that the front office knows it, which makes them complicit. Tell them that you want paid and that you'll give them 3 days to do it and stop talking. Let them make the next move.

Claudia, it's NSAs like you that help this scam company stay in business. Unreal.

They called me last week. I told them that due to their poor payment history I would need my fee up front. They said they would have to find another notary. No problem.

I live in a small comunity - the borrowers they needed signings for were aquaintances. The ones I did refuse, the borrowers somehow got my name - called - and asked why I wouldn't take care of their loan. Sorry, I guess I didn't see the scam is quickly as you did

You took a bullet for an aquiantance, very noble.

Now get to work, call the aquaintance and have them call the LO and state that their friend got ripped off and that they are not happy. They want something done now, because they paid for a service and THEIR money got STOLEN by someone else. Also if they will make sure that they tell the LO and or his/her boss that they will be calling the state capital and letting them know what kind of operation they run. This is good news for you, use it.

I initially accepted the signing until I received their confirmation. When the caller identified his company he mumbled the name of the company he was calling from. I called them back because of all the negative comments on NotRot. I also performed a google seach on them and on the 2nd posting it said "Notary Ripoff". That was a pretty good indication that this was not a good company to work for. I now have this company listed on my caller ID as "NO".

Good luck to you.

First Time in a Forum

When I was looking at the forum and saw the initial posting re: SOX. Thought 'great' some info I might be able to use. Thanks to you who responded with positive info and those who sent me helpful emails. The rest - not so much fun...

They owe me for a signing from September 2006. Yes, I've contacted the BBB. SOX replied to my complaint on BBB and said "We don't have an invoice from this notary. Tell notary to send invoice and it will be paid" REALLY? I've only emailed and faxed it about 10 times, not to mention that I've called and left numerous messages! BTW, the initial instructions on the confirmation said to fax the invoice. Anyway, I said, Ok I'll send it again. After a couple more months, I followed up with BBB and said they still hadn't paid. This time, SOX replied, "Tell notary to submit invoice online, and it will be paid." I think this just is a game to them. I went online and submitted it AGAIN. Well, guess what? I still have not been paid. They called me to do another signing and I said, "I'm still waiting for payment from a signing last September." The girl hung up on me. Don't be a sucker, unless you enjoy working for free. They have not changed a bit.

In July I finally called the Loan Company regarding a Nov. 06 closing. Within 2 hours I got a call from SOX and a check in the mail three days later.

yes, I did not paid when they said I would, in accordance with their pay policy.

If I were you I'd call them back and tell them you've changed your mind. Took me 10 months of hounding them to get my money 2 years ago, I'll never do work for them again. They will tell you anything to get you to take a signing.
