Zen and the Art of Signing Agentry

Today I had what must be the ultimate minimalist experience.

I went to a tiny home in a small South Austin neighborhood. There was a compact pickup truck in the driveway and a subcompact off-road vehicle parked in the narrow street out front.

The loan was a reverse mortgage. The lump-sum settlement was for – yes, this is the gospel truth -- $148. The borrower’s name was Bill. He had a dog; naturally, it was a Chihuahua. The Chihuahua’s name? “Dog.”

Thinking about it, though, this actually may not have been the ultimate minimalist experience. The borrower was 6’3”. Besides, the damned Chihuahua was maximally annoying.

They usually are... the smaller the dog, the more nervous they tend to be.
