Shares of Countrywide fell 14 percent in afternoon trading TODAY on
the New York Stock Exchange.

Earlier in the session, shares hit $9.07, their cheapest trade since
about Feb. 2002.

This stock was at $45 in the summer.

Stockholders are bailing out. Traders are shorting the stock.

I've lived in Southern California since 1960.
This is the first time that I have seen so many properties
boarded up or sitting empty for months!

I personally know families who may very well loose their homes.
Why? Because they took out loan after loan after loan, and
now cannot refinance anymore. They are "bottom-up". That is,
they now owe more on their properties than the properties are worth.

And these particular people knew better!
