anyone know how this is?

[A Pittsburgh-based vendor management company that saw its flow of business dry up in the market downturn this year, filed for bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania on Nov. 21.]

Just wondering if it's NREIS.

Case No. 07-27374, USBC, Western District of Pennsylvania

... for Express Financial Services, Inc. That was the first case in a list of "many" found. It's not unusual when a big company files, to have a whole boatload of subsidiaries or sister companies filing at the same time. They're usually consolidated under the main company's case number.

Information was obtained from the VCIS 412-355-3210. Please feel free to double check the case number. The VCIS voice is a bit hard to understand.

Filed 11/21/07; Chapter 11; assets; L/D to file POCs is 4/22/08. The § 341 meeting of creditors is 1/23/08 at 11:00 AM. (Not necessary to attend in order to file a claim or otherwise protect one's interests.) I didn't write down the location of the meeting, but did notice that it's in a room, probably wherever the meetings of creditors are ordinarily held. Surely they'll move it to a larger facility. I imagine a lot of folks will attend.

Hope that helps.

(It's a slow day here so far. I hope my 6:30 goes as planned.)

Well, at least we know where we stand with Express. I hope that the powers that be will take the owner straight to what he deserves. We have been hearing rumors since September that they were going to file bk, now we know it's true. (For whatever that's worth)
