first for me

Just got a call from the title company for a closing I have tonight. The L.O. wants to know if it is o.k. to ride to the closing with the closer. Fortunately i am not going back so I said it wasnt possible. It is a 30 minute drive from the title company, think L.O. is trying to cut cost or this is going to be a squirrely deal and he/she is trying to prepare me before hand. Anyone else have the L.O. ride with them?

I would not allow the LO to ride with me either. Sounds quite strange to me....

perhaps LO lost DL - you know they hire anyone who breathes

esp. if they can breathe capital into their coffers.

I like that one Lee. 35 miles one way. Extra 70 dollars never hurt anyone...

I've given rides to LO's before

One LO that ALWAYS requests me has asked me to drop him off at his church after local loan closings. Of course, I don't have to go far out of my way to accomodate his request. Believe me it has come back to me many times.

It's the wave of the future

They can't cut our fees any less than they already have (can they?), so this is the next big step in cost cutting. We're going to start seeing it in our instructions. Be on time, dress properly, pick up your l.o. at least 30 minutes prior to appointment, make sure car is clean and passenger seat has been sanitized.

Re: It's the wave of the future

The least you can do is buy the LO dinner for giving you the priviledge of doing their signing.
