Just a heads up in case this is another Express Financial situation.

Could be announcement of a merger or something? Why would you think this is an Express Financial situation?

Why scare anyone when you have no idea if there is a direct connection?

The grapevine was looking for a job. A secondary grapevine source said the actual loss of jobs thus far including joint ventures is probably 1500. The expectation is that the announcement is not good.

I do hope that is not the case but I think a few days heads up on the Express Financial move may have helped some folks avoid some damage.

Re: Thank you, Diane
Not to happy to hear this one...I have 3 open invoices for them right now. I know that HFC is in trouble but that is IREP- the other division.

You are welcome.
Let's hope it's not a shutdown. They may like the rest of us just be reorganizing to survive but it doesn't hurt to keep all eyes open.

Re: Oh%#$@$
Shame you couldn't ask for payment at the time services are rendered like many appraisers and surveyors. I've often wondered if that was an option for NSAs to go POC on the HUD.
You know, now that I'm thinking about that, why not? Why should a title company care if you are paid directly by the borrower at the table?
I've never understood the practice of considering notary services as contingent upon closing or even subject to RTC rules.
Just a thought.
