Confimation/Agreement letter question

Wondering if any one does this, I thought of it, but wasn't sure....

Was wondering if anyone made up a letter yourself for the SS, stating what your fee is going to be for the requested signing, and that they agree to pay x amount in x amount of days, and also state that if borrow cancels the SS will pay x amount of dollars, and have them sign this and send back to you before you can accept the siging, making it more legit?
Seeing as some of their confirmations don't have their signature showing they agree to paying you the amount requested, as some just state a fee with their information in an email, and that is supposed to be your confirmation. Was thinking that if they signed something that they agreed they would pay you, it would seem more legitmate and they may be more inclined to pay you, seeing as there is so many companies these days that don't.

Just a thought.

You don't need to make up an agreement or confirmation of your own. Most clients would probably refuse to sign it anyway. All you have to do is tell the ss or TC about the terms and conditions under which you render service and to include them in the confirmation they send you. Tell them that you will not print the documents unless your terms are contained in their confirmation. Works every time...I have never been stiffed.

Nice try, and we would love to have this. Maybe if you are in a rural county you can get them to sign this agreement. But it won't work, especially when there are too many agents out there now as it is. If you try this, they will probably laugh at you, and not call you again.

Thanks, I did think it might be hard to get them to sign it, was just a thought.

Yes, wouldn't it be great if we could dictate the terms of our work, like a plumber

What does this mean? Do you have every company sign an agreement? Expand on your statement?

Gee, what kind of talk is that from a professional? I am a NEWBIE here, yep and proud of it! Is this the kind of conversation I am to expect from this phorum? from experienced, professional, upstanding citizens? I am very surprised and a bit dissapointed. Yes, I know, you are now going to "rake me thru the coals". That is OK, from what I have read on this phorum there are still some of you worth learning from. I thank those individuals for their respect of othes and for their respect for the profession!

Barbara, with all due respect

search on posts by Johnny B to find the history here of his posts. Becca's post, taken out of context does look to be mean-spirited, but the history is there for all to see.

When angered, it is often best to sit back & relax a bit to clear the head before hitting enter on a post that may not cast the best light on yourself. Can't count how many times I've started typing & realized that it's just not worth it to respond.

Well, I was not certainly not out of line in this post. And I responded to them only when they attacked me. Go look back and see when the first post was deleted from a Florida notary.

Of course you won't, because you are not dictating the terms to these companies in this market.

Sylvia, he just doesn't get it...

as he is a positively clueless dolt whose sole mission is to incite pointless arguments and create discord amongst board members to give significance to his otherwise pathetic existence.

I am SO over this troll. I mean, at least Jahari gives us decent controversy. Wink
