Convenient Closing Svcs/Title Resource Group, Mt. Laurel, NJ
Anybody know anything about these people? I got a call for a signing from them and when I got the confirmation it was suspiciously vague, didn't mention the name of the people that hired me anywhere. It gave the name and number of the title officer to call if there were any problems and when I called it the greeting said "Convenient Closing Services", so I assume it is an in-house setup, but I just want to be sure. Can't be too careful these days. If anybody has any info I would appreciate it. TIA

I recently spoke to a district attorney who was a closing agent while in law school. She told my our confirmations/contracts to complete closings are vague and if we need to collect thru legal system it would be difficult or useless at best. A recent closing I did for a title company was vague I emailed them back to tell them how I want the order to read. Please make sure you tell them to put on the order when you can expect payment. i.e. upon funding of loan or 30 days, whatever.

When I get something like that, I call/write back stating that I want details or the order sits. If they get lax about it, I threaten to just sit on the order until they call.
I work for a national REO firm through a signing service that only tells me to meet "Joe and Mary" at a certain Realtor's office. "Docs will be emailed by 2". The only thing I can do is call that Realtor to confirm. When I call, they often don't know - I never get an agent's name.
This relationship has gone well, but I get restless when I don't know how much $$ I am collecting until I get the docs. The funds must be exact and certified. I can't confirm anything with the borrower.
As it turns out, things went perfect the first time - followed their rules, dropped the docs on the way home and a couple call-backs. I became their preferred notary before I got home. The boss at the signing service placed the call to me.
