Discontinue free membership posters ? ( Never Brenda )

If Harry did that he would lose a lot of Biz. SS's & Title Co use this site because there are so many notaries listed here.

If I might suggest Harry, don't let the non-paying members post in the forums. not really sure if that would make sense or not but just a suggetion.

Anthony J Negrete

PS. will I ever get my access back to my company listing ?

I have a free membership, not because I'm cheap.....

but because in Massachusetts there aren't too many non-attorney signing agents that are listed in my area. IMHO, for me to pay for membership would be foolish because there isn't alot of competition.

In the round about way I kind of "pay my debt" by using NotRot to buy most of my notary supplies when needed. Granted I didn't purchase my seal through them because when I became a notary public, I didn't know NotRot existed. Now that I do, when I renew my commission, I plan on spending more money with them.

I enjoy reading the msgs and writing to NotRot members when I have the time. I hope Harry doesn't prevent non-paying members from posting in the forums.

Re: I have a free membership, not because I'm cheap.....

Korey,

I don't have to pay either to be on the first page, but I have supported Harry's efforts with my contribution. I don't buy that many supplies, but when I do, I definitely save money by having a membership. I am not saying that anyone should pay when they don't. I am saying if you want the personality of this board to change, then try something tried and true to change the personality...place a value on membership.

Otherwise, leave it alone and let it be as it is. I am fine with it like it is now. I have been batted around but I don't take it personally.

The funniest part is when a newbie perceives an attack, another poster comes in and attacks the perceived attackers and then does exactly what they say others shouldn't do. It's a true study in humanity.

We've been down this path before. It will settle down once the trolls disappear and will remain so until the new trolls get restless. This is just the way forums are.

Truer words have never been spoken, Ms. Brenda.

Well I have free membership because I'm cheap...

My husband has labeled me "penny-pincher" and it's the way our family survives. I started this business without a cell phone and with dial-up internet connection. At first, I didn't need it because I was not getting many calls, after I was established and busy, I got a trak phone and high speed internet. I don't believe I'd have any more calls if I was a premier member. I think eliminating unnecessary costs is smart business.

That's what I mean, Tony.

I don't have a problem with free memberships but I do have a problem with the discussions of how mean people are when most of them come from trolls...inho who have free memberships...and when that problem becomes unsurmountable to me (probably like...never) I'll exercise my choice not to read.

Its not just some basic members abusing this site with ill behavior, a few premier members have been doing there fair share. Just read Harry's posting Msg #211190
and we all can see what is acceptable on any forum.

Good form makes for a good forum.
