Express Title

Does anyone have a contact number for Richard Fuchs? He is the owner of Express Title and he owes my company a WHOLE LOT of money. We have been trying to collect from them for over 1 year from a lady named Colleen that works out of the Pittsburgh PA office. We have even sent a letter to thim from our Attorney. We called this morming and she said that they shut down and if we continue to call her, she will call the Cops!!! How idiotic is that?

Do you mean Express Financial Services?

If so, yes they went out of business last Friday.
We are ALL looking to find a way to recoup payment from them.

Yes. Express Financial. We are trying to track down a direct number for the owner. Once we find it, I will post.

Re: Do you mean Express Financial Services?

Problem is as they were a corporation you probably cannot collect from the owner.

Not to be construed as legal advice as I am not an attorney, haven't played one on TV, but watched a lot of Law and Order and have a relative in the legal profession.

No doubt, Sylvia.

He's protected. I just want him to know that I will take office equipment and legal sized paper as an alternative to a cash payment. I could always use another desk top and you can never have enough legal paper. Wink

Re: Do you mean Express Financial Services?

Thank you. What we are atempting to do is get a hold of him to at least find a way to resolves this. I know that he cant pay us, but he can at least help us or blow us off like everyone else has. One person said that they are filing BK, so I think that we all are going to be out money.

If they are filing bankruptcy

Can't vendors file to recoup if it's a certain chapter of bankruptcy?
LOL I wish I had taken AMC's bankruptcy course.

We're screwed. I think I recall seeing a post from an NSA that was listed as a creditor in the Bridgespan Bk. Somewhere close to two years later she received something like a 1/4 of her fee.

Sylvia, I tried that line on my attorney, and he said that

Law and Order is criminal law, and he only handles civil cases. Civil law is based on what ever can be negotiated with the other party to the lawsuit.

Just spoke to Mgr. at Express in the South Jersey office

He said it was a shock to them. Uhuh. But he gave accounting his opinion on situation TWO months ago. He is not sure what they are doing. If we are going to get paid. But of course he didn't know anything was happening to Express. Does it really matter if he did or didn't. We knew what was going on and these jobs we take in the near future are going to be a 50/50 if we get paid or not. We might be able to go on the hud or utilize pay/pal. It's just really sad. For the people including us who have lost their jobs.

I'm trying not to post but I'm biting my nails on this one so I gotta do it.
Ladies and gents, get on that hud when you do a closing. I got a call that I am not getting paid for anything that Express owes me. I am officially looking for a full time job as Express was about 25% of my monthly income.

Once again I am glad I weaned myself from EFS.

Back in the Spring there were folks who viewed 45 to 60 day out payments as money in the bank. There were folks, me included who thought that extending that kind of credit was kind of nuts, for one never knows who is going boots up. Now that a rather large company has gone boots up and has taken your money to their bank. I would hope that everyone views this more as a business and not a poorly run credit union for SS's and TC's.

Congratulations, Philip....

Likewise, I terminated relations with EFS early this year when their payment habits went 60+.
After working with them for 8 years, it was a hard but correct decision. Now if I can just get this sore spot out of my shoulder from patting myself on the back.....

I terminated my relationship with them months ago...

when they were 60+ days on $1200. I hounded them until I was paid in full, and even then, my bank held their checks for 10 days waiting for funds to become available.
Once I was paid and the checks cleared, they went on my "Working for Free" list.

I am saddened by their situation. For several years, I considered them one of my best clients, and had developed personal relationships with many in their closing department.

As for my peers, both on this board and in our Florida Network, I sympathize with your situation with regard to outstanding debt with them. As Becca suggested, I would send the owner a letter, via FedEx, offering to accept office equipment in lieu of payment. Hey, $$ for that used desktop or laser printer is just a mouse-click away on eBay!

Got a call from AFA on Friday to become a notary for them. According to Robin, the 2 owners of AFA came from EXPRESS title. She also said Express closed it's doors on Thursday or Friday.

Re: Express Title/Express Financial Services

I completed a closing on June 4th for Express Financial Services in Maryland and mailed the package by UPS the next day. The package was lost, so I had to hustle to re-do the closing with the husband and follow him about 20 miles to his wife's work to have her sign, then get the docs to FedEx before they closed so that the package would arrive the following day. In the meantime, heads were rolling, and folks were mad with me because the package was lost. I had almost decided that being a Signing Agent was not worth all of the aggravation. Surprisingly, the 1st (UPS) package showed up about the same time as the Fed Ex package. It was the worst signing I have ever been through, and now I guess I won't get paid for all of my trouble. Live and learn!!

they owe us a lot of money, close to $7000, is there a way to band together to try recoup some of our loses. Something is better than nothing.
