Follow-up to msg 210474 re bo copies
A new Countrywide (Cincinnati) procedure is to send documents directly to borrower. Given the earlier post today regarding whether to print and provide copies of the 23 +/- pages of closing instructions I was interested in what would be sent directly from them to the borrower home. The TC sent me the normal TC docs (HUD, E&O, Affidavits - etc,) and all were surprised to hear that documents were sent directly from the CW office to the borrower. “Please confirm with bo before going that they have them...” Fortunately, the borrower had not opened either copy. So, I opened the borrower copy first to see if all were usual docs were present. All, including the closing instructions were printed and delivered in that set. Next opened the “Notary Copies” - they were missing the first 3 pages of the closing instructions and the names were lacking the middle initials that were included in the title docs. Observation - I think I’ll keep printing a complete sets when I print from e-mails unless they advise otherwise.

The last Countrywide I did the doc's were also sent directly to the borrower. I also opened the Fedex package. Neither the borrower or the signing copies had the closing instructions included. In fact, there was no identity affidavit or the Countrywide ID form included either.

How is Countrywide going to get the borrower copies sent to
the borrower by overnight courier when they can't seem to even get docs ready until 2 hours AFTER the scheduled appointment???
I actually think this is a great idea - we won't have to be waiting for CW docs all night like we usually do!

Re: One CW I did recently did the same thing to me
"Print one copy - we'll FedEx a copy to the borrower" - before I left, while printing the docs, I spoke with the Borrower and she had not received any documents - this was late afternoon already so, to play it safe, I printed a package for her and let the company know I did it .. they were okay with it.

I work for the branch out of Chicago. Always, always have docs 2 hours before apt time. Had one at 5 today. Had doc's by 3. The Chicago CW branch is great. Don't do many out of the TX branch.
