Forum questions
I have been reading this forum for the past year, at least and I am finally getting up the nerve to ask two questions I have not found the answers for. 1. What does n/m after a name mean? 2. How do you know the number of a message?

n/m = No Message
click on your own message - look at top right corner of the message box - there's your message number.

Re: P.S. and if you search a topic
the message number appears next to that particular thread.

n/m is when there is no message in the body of the post. When you read a message the message number is displayed just above the message you are reading.

Thank you, both! I knew I would feel dumb if I asked. On my screen the message number is very faint and I didn't even notice it...was looking for something that was more obvious.

Re: Forum questions-Hi Karen
NM means no message after the subject. The number can be found 2 places. In the threaded version of the forum and if you read a post, up above to the right is the post number. So when you read this look above to the right. Hope this helps!

Just to be clear...
If you type a short reply in the subject line, and you do not type anything at all in the Message area, NotRot automatically inserts the N/M after what you have typed in the subject line.
I've seen posters who didn't know this and they type N/M after what they put in the subject line and it winds up looking like this...."Just to be clear....N/M N/M". Hope THAT'S clear! LOL.
