Just about had it!!!
Tomorrow, I am going to IKEA to invest in a portable table and a portable light, to save my back and my eyesight. The next I see a dining room table full of crap and the only place to sign is a coffee table (which I now hate) I might just lose it and go crazy on the borrower.

How about a broken down bench and using 24x24x24 old box for the table, sitting outside amongst the bees who were friendly as all get out because they did not want me to go into the house, they said it was because of the dogs.... A signing agent is the life for me.

at how many signings are exactly as you described! (scratching head...) I would never have believed it, had I not run into the same situation--many times - it blows me away. I've had to sit on the floor at the coffee table because the big dogs were all laying on the couch--not to mention the lighting was equal to candle light.

LOL! I could tell you stories all day long....
I had a signing on a ripped up couch on a board because there was no space in this home that wasn't occupied, and I mean occupied. I wished I had a gas mask.

It's amazing: one minute you are in a house that is a filthy, stressful, trashy pigsty, then the next house is like Martha Stewart: so peaceful and happy. It makes me realize that people really do make their own heavens and hells.
