Most calls are now "restricted" Why?

I keep getting calls from my existing clients but now they are blocked! Why? I asked one of my clients and they said that if the notary misses the call they don't want a call back from the notary. Because by the time the notary calls back the signing has been booked and it is a waste of time answering calls for a job already filled in.

Boy, there are some really strange things going on in this biz lately. I wonder if this has something to do with an employees time being spent on productive business. I was just told this week the employees of a certain title company were leaving and my second set of docs were coming from somewhere else because they could not be on the clock past a certain time. I had one set of docs of a first and second and patiently waited for the second set not really knowing if I was going to receive it or not. Luckily I did.

Blocked calls do not get through to my phone. They are picked up by "Privacy Director" and have to state who they are before being connected.

Sylvia,
Don't you worry that you are going to miss jobs bc they won't want to bother"unblocking" and they will just move on to the next NSA?

Because of my health I no longer do signings - maybe it will change at some time.
I concentrate on my signing service.
But the companies I have done signings for still call me, and some (if they are calling from an 800 number - which works like a blocked call as far as the Privacy Director goes) get the Privacy Director and have no problem stating who they are.

Yes I noticed that too. I dont answer blocked calls, I dont have time to waste answering blocked calls, it might be from actual telemarketers. So I guess I miss out on signings but then again I bet they are the $40 type signings..lol
