OT: Transferring Microsoft Outlook data to another computer

Does anyone know how to transfer Microsoft Outlook (not Express) information (i.e., emails, folders, addresses, etc.) from one computer to another? There's an "export" option within Outlook, but it appears it changes the formatting, which makes me think it's purpose is for using the information in a different application.

Any and all help is appreciated!

I know the file with a .pst extension contains the personal folders/files, but other than that -- sorry I can't help. Did you check the Microsoft site for an answer?

I called my ISP; they said to find the files/folders on the

hard drive by going to the start menu. I tried, but couldn't find them. I'll look again for the .pst ending--didn't know that, thanks! (I haven't gone the MS site: I'll do that, as well.)

I'm trying to follow some of this website's instructions,

but I can't find the pst file on my old computer. Can you tell me where it is on yours? I've looked in Program Files, My Documents, and done a general Search.

Re: Found it! Am following MS tutorial. Thanks!

The .pst files are often contained in hidden folders. So, you wouldn't even find them in a search unless you went to Advanced Search Options and check the box for "Search Hidden Files and Folders."

Even at that, they won't show in File Exployer, unless you do this first: Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > View Tab > check - Show hidden files and Folders
